The Dream of Reason

“The Dream of Reason” is a large photo-collage, consisting of analog and digital photography. The different elements and characters are also presented seperately.

This work is created for the Rotterdam Photo open call:

"Echoes of Silence: War in the Artists Soul" 

and will be exhibited during the 2026 exhibition.

When you take the word war out of its literal meaning this work displays modern scenes of war; within us as well as around us. And that is what each individual character or symbol represents.

Its about humans, dark sides of society and individual emotions.

All of this intertwined with this my personal view of the world and my place in it as an artist.
