While growing up in Zeeland I was always amazed by the camera’s ability to capture this life’s beautiful, but passing, moments.

When I moved to Rotterdam to pursue my studies in this field, 

I started to become more and more interested in the art’s history, philosophy and psychology while still discovering what it means to grow up and to be an artist myself.

Inspired by movements like surrealism, I try not to document reality with my photographs, but to create new worlds and atmosphere's.

In my work I want to explore the deeper layers of this world, the human psyche- or my own. My work is meant to make people wonder about the meaning rather than understanding, just like our dreams.
